Synopsis

Ken Kaneki is a shy, bookish college student who barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, his date who reveals herself to be a flesh-eating Ghoul. Following a life-saving but experimental surgery using Rize's organs, Kaneki becomes a half-human, half-ghoul hybrid. Now trapped between two worlds, he must navigate the secret society of Ghouls, learn to control his new hunger for human flesh, and evade the CCG investigators tasked with exterminating his kind.
