Synopsis

An animal rights extremist group raids a research lab and rescues a pregnant chimpanzee, who gives birth to a "humanzee"—a half-human, half-chimpanzee named Charlie. Fifteen years later, Charlie has been raised by human foster parents and is finally entering a regular high school. Despite his genius-level intellect and superhuman physical traits, he just wants a normal life. However, his existence becomes the center of a violent ideological war as the extremist ALA (Animal Liberation Alliance) seeks to reclaim him as their "prophet" for a revolution against humanity.
