Synopsis

The film serves as both a reimagining of the original 1979 series and an introduction to a new timeline. It is divided into two distinct halves: 1. The Alternate History: The first half depicts a timeline where Char Aznable successfully steals the RX-78-02 "White Gundam" from Side 7 instead of Amuro Ray. He renames it the "Red Gundam," leading the Principality of Zeon to a decisive victory in the One Year War. 2. The New Era (UC 0085): The second half jumps five years after the war. Amate "Machu" Yuzuriha, a high school student in a peaceful space colony, meets a refugee named Nyaan and a mysterious boy named Shuji. Machu is thrust into the world of "Clan Battles"—illegal underground mobile suit duels—piloting the experimental gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX.
