Synopsis

Gon Freecss is a young boy living on Whale Island who discovers that his father, Ging, did not die years ago but is actually a world-renowned Hunter—an elite professional licensed to track down secret treasures, rare beasts, and even other individuals. Driven by a desire to understand why his father chose his profession over his own son, Gon leaves home to take the notoriously difficult Hunter Examination. Along the way, he forms deep bonds with three other applicants: Kurapika, the last survivor of a massacred clan seeking revenge; Leorio, a man aspiring to become a doctor for the poor; and Killua, a boy from a legendary family of assassins. As they navigate the dangerous exam and the world beyond, they discover that being a Hunter is not just about strength, but about mastering the complex and lethal art of Nen.
