Synopsis

Sophie is a quiet, responsible 18-year-old milliner whose life is turned upside down when she is cursed by the petty Witch of the Waste, transforming her into a 90-year-old woman. Unable to tell anyone, Sophie leaves home and stumbles upon the legendary "Moving Castle" belonging to the wizard Howl. Disguising herself as a cleaning lady, she enters a contract with the fire demon Calcifer to break each other's curses. Along the way, she discovers the vain and insecure heart of Howl as they navigate a devastating war of magic and machines.
