Synopsis

Kazuya Souma is a humanities student who is summoned to the Kingdom of Elfrieden as a hero. Instead of fighting monsters, he presents a plan for economic and administrative reform. Impressed, the King abdicates the throne to him and betroths him to Princess Liscia. Using his knowledge of political science, social engineering, and Machiavellianism, Souma begins rebuilding the struggling nation. He gathers "Gifted People" from all over the land—a dark elf warrior, a beautiful singer, a girl who can talk to beasts—to help him fix everything from the food crisis to the healthcare system.
