Synopsis

Set during the Edo period of Japan, the story follows Gabimaru the Hollow, an elite ninja from Iwagakure who has been sentenced to death. Despite his apparent apathy, his superhuman resilience prevents him from being executed. He is offered a full pardon by the Shogunate under one condition: he must travel to a mysterious, legendary island called Shinsenkyo and retrieve the Elixir of Life.
