Synopsis

In a world where people randomly burst into flames and turn into mindless monsters called Infernals, the Special Fire Force is the only defense. They "extinguish" these creatures while searching for the source of the phenomenon. Shinra Kusakabe, a young hero who can ignite his feet to fly and fight, joins Company 8 to uncover the truth behind the fire that killed his family. He soon discovers a doomsday cult called the White Clad, who are kidnapping "Pillars" (people with a rare flame called the Adolla Burst) to repeat a global cataclysm and burn the world to a crisp.
