Synopsis

Set during the Sengoku period, a greedy samurai lord named Daigo Kagemitsu makes a pact with 12 demons to ensure the prosperity of his domain. In exchange, the demons take the body parts of his newborn son. Disfigured and abandoned, the child is found and raised by a prosthetic maker who names him Hyakkimaru. Years later, Hyakkimaru embarks on a quest to hunt down the demons and reclaim his humanity. Along the way, he meets a clever young orphan thief named Dororo, who becomes his companion and moral compass in a world ravaged by war and monsters.
