Synopsis

Ichigo Kurosaki is a high school student with the uncanny ability to see ghosts. His life changes forever when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) whose job is to usher souls to the afterlife and hunt "Hollows"—monstrous corrupt spirits that devour human souls. During a battle with a powerful Hollow, Rukia is forced to transfer her powers to Ichigo, making him a Substitute Soul Reaper. The story follows Ichigo as he defends his town and eventually enters the spirit world, the Soul Society, to save his friends and uncover a massive conspiracy within the Reaper ranks.
