Synopsis

Centuries ago, humanity was nearly exterminated by Titans—massive, mindless humanoid creatures that devour humans. The survivors retreated behind three enormous concentric walls: Maria, Rose, and Sheena. For a hundred years, they lived in uneasy peace until a Colossal Titan suddenly appeared and breached the outermost wall. The story follows Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert. After witnessing the horrific death of his mother during the invasion, Eren vows to "kill every last one" of the Titans. He joins the Survey Corps, an elite military branch that ventures outside the walls. What starts as a simple survival story quickly evolves into a complex political and philosophical war as the trio discovers the dark truth about the Titans' origins and the history of their world.
