Synopsis

Hajime Shinonome is a 29-year-old Silver-rank adventurer living a peaceful life in Komai Village, far removed from his childhood in the slums. His "daily grind" consists of hunting for meat to support the village—until he finds a young girl named Rirui being attacked by a slime in a dungeon. Discovering she was abandoned and has nowhere to go, Hajime takes her in. The story follows their domestic and dungeon-crawling lives, as Hajime balances being a mid-level adventurer with his new role as a protective (and often flustered) guardian.
